Kevin McNamara
In addition to serving as a founding principal of McNamara Family Ventures, Kevin currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Tyson Foods, Inc. (TSN), a publicly-held member of the S&P 500 and one of the world’s largest processors and marketers of chicken, beef, and pork, as well as Luminex Corporation (LMNX), a publicly-held life sciences company that develops, manufactures and markets proprietary biological testing technologies. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors of Leon Medical Centers, a privately-held leading healthcare services provider serving Medicare patients in the greater Miami-Dade market.
From 2005 through his retirement in 2009, Kevin served as the Chief Financial Officer of HealthSpring, Inc. (HS), one of the largest Medicare focused managed care entities in the US. While there he oversaw the company’s initial listing on the New York Stock Exchange in February 2006. Today, HealthSpring is part of Cigna Corporation (CI) following its $3.8 billion sale which was closed in early 2012.
Kevin has extensive operating experience in a number of different industries including healthcare, business services, retail and manufacturing with a significant portion of that experience garnered while working with private equity firms of all sizes.
Kevin began his career in one of the nationally recognized public accounting firms. He is a CPA (inactive) and holds a BS from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MBA from the University of Richmond.
While most of his experience has been gained in larger stage enterprises, his passion lies in earlier stage emerging companies.

Cary McNamara
Prior to founding McNamara Partners, Cary spent two years at Court Square Capital, a $3.1 billion middle-market private equity firm, where he focused on the firm's healthcare portfolio and potential investments in the healthcare space. While at Court Square, he served as the associate on the deal team for the firm's $510 million acquistion of Physiotherapy Associates in April of 2012, as well as the $810 million sale of Arizant Healthcare to 3M in October 2010.
Before joining Court Square, Cary was an investment banker in the healthcare group at Goldman Sachs, & Co.
Cary received his B.A., summa cum laude, from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina.
